Call for Presenters

We are looking for educators to lead a workshop, give a lecture, or share an activity concerning language learning, teaching or research.

My Share Presentations

A ‘My Share’ presentation should include a rich description of an activity, last no more than 20 minutes, and answer 3 basic questions.

  1. Rationale / Context:

What is your rationale for using this activity?

In what contexts have you used it?

  1. Implementation / Demonstration:

How have you implemented the activity?

This may include a demonstration.

  1. Theory / Research:

What theory / research is informing the decision to use this activity? (Less time is devoted to this in a ‘My Share’ presentation.)

Lecture / Workshop (60 – 120 minutes in length)

Lectures or workshops typically focus on an aspect of pedagogy related to the development of language and / or cultural competence.  Presentations address the 3 questions mentioned earlier, but there is more time to explore the issue in depth, both in terms of practice, theory or research.
At Shinshu JALT, we are more than happy to provide you with the opportunity to share your ideas and experience. You just need to get in touch via the form on the ‘Contact’ page, and let us know how we can support you.
